Yep tim I'm running a tii so I've got the right struts to start with. After plenty of consideration I'm opting for stock tii discs and remanufactured calipers from bigg red.

The front struts on a carb 02 have a few differences to a tii strut. Basiclly they are; smaller stub axle and different caliper fixing bolt hole centres.

Blimey, I'd have thought Fritz' knew there stuff a little better than that! Tii calipers are definately a larger size to regular 02 ones.

Big Red brakes i have found to be the best for recon calipers as they only charge 90 quid for a pair.

Hi, The tii discs and e21 323i discs are the same diameter. The caliper clearance is not an issue, it is wider by 10mm and will not interfere with 13 inch rims.

Cheers guys there's some interesting alternatives in there. I think Tim has confirmed my fears regarding the rim size so I'll probably be limited to what I can use.

For your front brakes, what Nick has said is very true. I raced on a stock tii setup for 4 years before converting to the E21 vented front discs.

It’s worth having a chat with Rich at Fritz’s Bits, as he knows all about this conversion. I’ve been looking into it too, but have got stuck as I’m told you must have 15” rims...

So Damon I take it you're starting with tii callipers already? Sorry - I thought you were talking about upgrading standard 02 brakes (which is what I'm contemplating).
