Jiglu: BMW '02 Owners: Discussion: Le Mans Classic 2008 News

If you didn't already know I am running a BMW Car Club (GB) Ltd stand at the Bi-Annual Le Mans Classic in July 2008, below is a list of Hotels, but the majority of us will be Camping. Here's the information I have so far;

Accepted Models (sorry I don't make the rules):

BMW
- 1502 to 2002
- 2800CS /M1
- 30CS / CSI / CSL
- M635 CSI

At the Le Mans Classic, vintage car enthusiasts will be in for more than an eyeful! No event, either in France, or elsewhere, has ever gathered as many cars at the same place. Actually, the very privileged location of the Bugatti circuit has hosted an impressive number of cars: 4,000 in 2004 & 5,000 are expected in 2006 - a visual feast for every visitor. Fifty or so French and foreign clubs will share this coveted space in perfect harmony. Forty makes on display to tell the world automobile industry story...

The club atmosphere offers for the participants

a private welcome
a privileged location
special rates
a discovery track lap
a private Saturday party
a concours under the aegis of the FIVA and FFVE, awarding
presentation, being effectively informative to the public and imaginative.

Hellicopter Flights over the circuit booked in advance, bus tours also available.

Collector's Enclosure:

"L'ESPACE "COLLECTION"

A special enclosure within the club area is dedicated to the Collectors who are not members of any Club.

This location not being very large, the requests will be fulfilled as long as there is space left.

The Collectors also benefit from a privileged position and good rates.

Entry Conditions

The cars must meet the same criteria as those requested for the clubs
A photo of the car and a copy of its registration document must be attached
The cars will have the opportunity to carry out track parade laps (Helmets not mandatory)

Tickets

For administration reasons, the "Collector" rate is only available for the whole weekend.
Each passenger of the car must present a valid ticket. The rate which applies is the pre-booking one (Serie D).
