Hi David,
When/if you have another look at those E12 servos can you find out if they are the same as the 2002tii servos. What need info on is the internal bore size. The E12 MC has a 22.2mm bore while the 2002tii has a smaller bore ID. I'd like to know if you use a E12 MC do you need to use the E12 servos as well or can you refurb the 2002tii servos as they are all the same.

Hi John
Just picked up a pair of 6 series calipers from a W reg ( I think they used the same floorpan and suspension as the E12?). They fit the tii struts anyway and yes all the nipples are free -I checked they would loosen before I removed the calipers from the car.
  It started pouring with rain so I didn't get around to lifting the bonnet. Is the servo system the same as an E12? If so I will go and get the master cylinder
    Thought I could get some E21 hubs when I spied a Baur convertible but it was one with M10 engine and solid discs,cyl head was very clean inside and out.
    New brake pipes and lines have arrived from W & N aswell today <http://bmw02.jiglu.com/discussion/events/20070815> so just need E21 hubs and a pair of vented discs and time to put it together
