Hi Richard

Sorry for the delay, even we need a few days off sometimes!!

Our car covers are breathable (so no condensation build-up) and attach with ties, so no problems with them blowing about in the wind! In fact, we're so fond of them we even bought one for our Touring, which now the paintworks been done we might even use once in a while!!

See you all at Gaydon!

Pete

Hi All

S'nice. Very nice in fact, and an excellent choice of colour! Look forwards to seeing it next weekend.

Hi Ed

Not an easy thing to find, you might have some luck looking over at the Dutch show, or jolly old ebay.de (Germany - try searching for "bmw 2002 mittelkonsole" and the obvious variations). Also I'm pretty sure all centre consoles came in plain black, but I've been wrong before.

As for the price - its clearly a sellers market as they aren't common things so I guess either you pay the asking price, haggle or keep looking for a cheaper one. If I do come across any on my travels I'll be sure to tell you.

Regards
Pete

I am on the look out for a mechanical advance distributor as the one I have at the moment is a vacuum one.

I have picked up that there are a few different types. Which one would be best suited to a car running twin carbs? Is there a difference between a ti and tii distributor? Does anyone know where I can get one (hopefully in time for me to come to gaydon in my '02)?

Thanks.

Hello William

It's best to use the tii distributor with twin carbs. We do have a proper Bosch recon one in stock just give us a call or email if you need a price, we can do a next day service if needed.

Brilliant, thank you.

I am away at the moment so I will get my dad to give you a call possibly tomorrow.

Thanks.

Pete, would you say they would keep bird and bat droppings off the car as I live near the coast in Sydney, the bats stuff is like someone has thrown a very large blackberry at the target (they eat next doors mulberrys!!) also is the inside fleecy/ cotton so any dust / light dirt goes intto the fabric rather than sits on the top and rubs the car. I would imagine at present the car would be covered every night. Have you actually tried yours yet?

Bit concerned as my car has recently been restored, to be honest if it wasnt for the bats, birds and possums I would probably leave it uncovered until my garage is completed.

Any help opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
