Hey Damon,
I met a mate of yours on the ferry in a low great looking blue car!
Cheers,
John.

Thanks for all the info.

I connected up last night and turned the re-keyed ignition and with a smile on my face the instrument panel lit up and the fan came on!
Next task is to crank the engine over and see if it turns/starts?

Just one other wiring query - i have a lone, unconnected wire coming from the turn signal stalk - which i think should that join the ignition switch, any thoughts?

I'll keep you posted

Regards
Franc

Hi Franco,
Is it grey? if so, don't worry about it as there is a spare wire that is on the loom and is not used normally.

Thanks for the help. Worked a treat – I was just worried since it was my first job on my new car, and that chrome isn't easy to replace (I hear!)

Cheers
Ed

Also on the subject of Gaydon - If anybody wants specific parts bringing can they let us know in advance, good way to dodge courier/postage fees! As we're coming in the Touring there are size limits, so no bonnets or bootlids but we can probably squeeze most other parts in there.

Also we do still have a fair selection of second hand parts (mainly 2002) left in the shed, let me know if your after anything! Especially glass, we seem to have more windows than anything else in there, but theres a fair array of centre consoles, propshafts, wiper motors and countless other odds and ends.

Kindest Regards
Fay and Pete

any suggestions on a steering wheel lock? I tried a fairly cheap one, which didn't work since the bar didnt hold close enough to the top of the dash.
